On celebration its second anniversary, the Defense Industry Cluster (CID) will award twelve Diplomas of Honor on July 23rd. The event, which will take place at the Hotel Real in Santander, will have Portugal as guest nation.
The final purpose of the CID Honorary Diplomas is to recognize institutions, individuals, organizations, companies or entities that have had special collaboration and support for the Cluster's initiatives or the cause of defense in any of its multiple areas.
Among the award winners are the Corps of Engineers of the Spanish Navy and the Chamber of Commerce in Cantabria, amongst many others. The diplomas will be awarded in an institutional ceremony with the presence of both civilian and military authorities.
This year, the Defense Cluster has introduced the guest nation distinction at its anniversary celebration. In this case, this distinction has been granted to Portugal, which the CID calls "a sister nation with which we have close historical and cultural ties".
