The Economic and Social Council of Spain (CES) has presented a report entitled "Industry in Spain: Proposals for its Development" in a ceremony closed by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto.

This report highlights the urgency of reaching a State Pact from which a new Industry Law will be born. The aim of the 130 proposals contained in the document is to make the best use of European funds to achieve an early recovery in the sector after the pandemic.

The CES argues that strengthening industry is a strategic need to combine economic growth and employment with environmental sustainability, social cohesion and territorial integration.
