On 29, 30 and 31 May at the International Defence and Security Exhibition (FEINDEF), the Ministry of Defence plans to carry out a series of outreach activities in connection with the entry of military personnel into the civilian sector. Support for personnel who wish to embark on an alternative project to the military profession is a priority for the Ministry and the presence of companies from the defence and security industry will enable it to showcase the human potential of such personnel and the various initiatives underway.

The Ministry of Defence’s Comprehensive Career Counselling Plan features prominently among these initiatives. Among others, this plan helps military personnel to join civilian sector companies and carries out actions to identify appropriate employment opportunities for such personnel.

The more relevant aspects of the Plan will be expanded upon in a conference given by the General Director of Military Recruitment and Training on 29 May, following which a discussion panel will be held comprising military and civilian personnel with extensive knowledge of the capabilities of military personnel, recruitment and enterprise.

The Ministry of Defence’s stand at FEINDEF will also provide detailed information to companies that express an interest regarding this Plan and the SAPROMIL digital platform; a company-oriented tool that can be used as an alternative or complementary recruitment source and which enables any job offers disseminated among military personnel registered on the platform to be managed and monitored.
