MARCHING TOWARD THE 2035 ARMY

The “2035 Army” project is moving forward at a steady pace. It is a model that the Army designed in order to deal with the present and future operational environment, which provides the Defense of Spain with capabilities endowed with technologically advanced material and equipment. It is a task in which the Spanish defense industry plays a fundamental role, since it represents a partner that the Army needs to develop this project, focusing on a coming future.

One more year, the Army participates in the International Defense and Security Exhibition (FEINDEF in Spanish) as  part of its commitment to the Spanish companies it trusts in and with which it promotes the investigation+development+innovation (I+D+i) as well as the experimentation with new materials. In addition, we must not forget that, for Spain, this joint task favors the development of the Defense industrial base; it creates skilled worker jobs consequently provide high social revenues.

Indeed, the “2035 Army” is sustained on four pillars. The first one, the Force 35, equipped with technologically advanced means and made up of highly trained and motivated personnel. The second one, the Logistics Base, which will use emerging and disruptive technologies to meet the requirements of the Force 35. The third one includes the digital transformation, which will modernize the military organization, in order to deal with the unstable operating environment. And the fourth one is the mission-oriented leadership, based on values and talent management technical, tactical and humane.

The mission of the Army is no other than serving the Spanish society, ensuring its safety and safeguarding its rights, freedoms and contributing to its well-being. In this regard, FEINDEF also represents a forum for the culture of Defense, since a strong bond has arisen between Defense, Industry and University. Because, in the end, all the efforts are aimed at reaching the Army that Spain needs.
