The National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA, in Spanish) is the Public Research Organization attached to the Ministry of Defense. Its functions include the provision of technological services, certification and homologation, and research, development and innovation within the fields of defense and security. INTA has facilities throughout the Spanish geography, being Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) its Headquarters location. A large percentage of its workforce is technical personnel, which allows it to address projects and activities in line with its strategic lines and objectives. Because of its public nature, INTA works and collaborates in programs and activities with companies, universities and technology centers, both in Spain and beyond (European projects and other). A very important part of the activity of INTA is oriented to the technological support to the Armed Forces and to the Security Forces, working in close collaboration in projects of interest to the Nation.
