IQUA robotics is a deep-tech company founded in 2016 with the goal of offering an integral solution to solve the problem of underwater inspection, covering from the data acquisition up to the generation of maps for its interpretation, combining multiple state-of-the-art technologies for professional customers of multiple sectors at an international level.

SPARUS II AUV:

The SPARUS II AUV is a very versatile platform suitable for multiple purposes for operation up to 200m depth. Its flexibility, easy operation and openness makes the SPARUS II AUV a multipurpose platform that can adapt to security, industrial, scientific and academic applications, being its main characteristics:

• Torpedo-shaped for more efficient hydrodynamics and a longer autonomy;
• Hovering capabilities for a better maneuvrability;
• Easy operation. It can be deployed from almost any boat;
• Open hardware for easy payolad integrations;
• ROS-based Software architecture;
• IQUAview user interface.

GIRONA 500 AUV:

The Girona 500 AUV is a reconfigurable AUV designed for a maximum operating depth of up to 500 m. The vehicle is composed of an aluminum frame which supports three torpedo-shaped hulls. Its core is very similar to the one of SPARUS II AUV but has been concieved to manage larger payloads and or payloads where stability is a key element, for instance, for optical mapping.

SoundTiles software:

SoundTiles is a stand-alone software solution for automatic generation of underwater acoustic mosaics from forward-looking sonar images.

The software allows users to process a set of sonar images, find the correct alignment between them and blend them in one single informative mosaic. The generated mosaic provides an overview of the surveyed area and eases the interpretation of the imaged scene, allowing the identification of spatial relationships and offering a map of increased resolution and signal-to-noise ratio with respect to the individual sonar images.
